I've never seen someone so happy to scrub rock! :)

I like the general layout but with the rocks stacked so densely, I think you'll have problems with flow. I think you can probably remove some rock from both piles and retain the overall shape and structure (with glue/rods/etc.) but open open it up to allow more circulation. Good starting point though!

I agree with @S-t-r-e-t-c-h .....looks like the Berlin Wall, especially far left and middle...too tightly packed. However, I do like the island look, with the three islands. The advice I was given when scaping, was to think tripods. Put down three similar size rocks and top that with a "roof". This allows open spots for fish to swim, hide and sleep. Continue up with this tripod in mind....openness.

It also looked like you were using pipe as support. I've used plastic coat hangers cut a couple inches long, and used a masonry bit to drill holes in the rock to fit these hanger pieces. If need be a small blob of epoxy putty can be used to hold this structure together.

Was just reading thru your thead and seen this, I like your islands may be at tad tall if you place corals on top or tumble down, I like the plastic dowel rod idea. Hey @redfishbluefish is there any consensus on distance
from the surface

To each his own! Make it as high or as low as you want. I've seen Zero Edge folks build their rock right up out of the water, forming an island.....a dry land island. I'm not aware of any rule. What was that movie, "We don't need no stinking rules!" :D

LOL! That is why I have my "rule of thirds" on the wall, so I am at least creating something appealing to the eye. And I already started re-designing my walls with holes in them - and they already look SO much better!! I am going to have to go down and get my branch before it is done curing just so I can see it in real life for design. It has kind of a pointy end to it, so I am putting a piece of shelf rock under it. I will bring it up tomorrow and play! I knew I liked the design, but something was missing - SPACE!! I am loving it now! You are the best!

I like the general shape of your layout, but I think things are a bit too "vertical" - you might find you have trouble finding spots to mount frags because the ones that are lower down will be directly below the ones above.
