I bought a new tank about a month ago and it was riddled with these guys who I assumed to be aptasia. I removed most of them by simply not reusing rock with lots of them but I still have plenty in the tank.

I purchased some berghia about 2 weeks ago but I haven't noticed any results.

Are these actually manjano anemones?

There are multiple colors of majano. You have two types in your picture, for example. OP's anemone is the same as the one at the bottom of your picture, just under slightly different lighting. I have around 100 of them, along with 4 other kinds.
