Aptasia in the overflows

I have found that I can not eliminate the aptasia in my overflows by using AptasiaX. I have shut down my system and drained water from the overflows and have fans running onto the areas. Has anyone tried to dry aptasia out and how long does it take. I have areators in tanks for fish.

When I’ve had to remove them from overflow… I shut off return pump, scrape them off, then pour enough water thru overflow to wash them out into a separate sock that is immediately removed and replaced.

I thought about that but worried that they would get pass and get in my sump
