API seems to be weird with ammonia

I think in the near future you might want to upgrade to better test kits. API are ok for starters but when you want more precise #s, Red Sea, Hanna and others get you closer to where you want/need to be.

So I have a bottle of seachem stability. Should I use that. If it is going unto a mini cycle

In my api experience, the ammonia always shows up with a green tint. The bacteria certainly won’t hurt the tank.

I don't trust API for ammonia or nitrates. when i test it all looked good, but when I take a water sample to LFS Nitrates would hit 50 to 100 ppm. get yourself Red Sea kit. Always good to have a counter ck.
