Does anyone have any salinity probe replacement options for the Neptune Apex, which is not from Neptune?
Mine is going on a couple years old and has started acting up recently (with no stray voltage).

Neptune stuff seems to always have a large markup on the prices, considering what you get. Was wondering if any other salinity probe manufacturer can be recommended to be used with the Apex controller?
Or is it just best to bite the bullet and get the Neptune salinity probe?

You can use any double junction pH probe as the connection is universal, but you will likely find the markup from neptune is actually not that significant. pH probes look deceivingly simple, but there is actually a fair bit of complexity and delicacy to their construction so they aren’t as cheap as they may appear.

There is a whole thread on this but you are better off just biting the bullet and buying a neptune one so you don't have to solder a connector as no one knows the pinout anyway.

Yes we did figure out the pinout. I've been using a pasco probe for about a year with no issues. To the OP, read through the thread, a few of us got around the proprietary crap from Neptune.
