My reading on Apex salinity probe is 51.5 which roughly equates to 1.025 specific! See below for the conversion chart. I like to keep my Salinity right around 1.025 to 1.026 range. Maybe I have been lucky b/c I have never had any issues what so every with the Apex Salinity probe. Also, I keep my PH anywhere from 8.05 to 8.2 and my temp between 77 - 78 degrees, no higher.

A properly calibrated probe mounted in a good spot wills yield good readings haha. I've never had an issue with mine either and it's been going on 2 years now

Do you clean yours at all and have you re calibrated it?

I recalibrate about once every 6-8 months and I clean off around every 3 months. All I do for that is I wipe it off with a towel

Your reading in fusion will be in PPT not mS so you might want to back up your results with a refractometer. So you might be way to high on the salt.

Just for reference my apex reads at 35 and it matches my meter as well and its were you want to be.

Might want to use a temp probe for temp adjustment too or turn that option on. make sure you adjust the temp difference to match a meter with auto correction.
you can take some to your LFS and have them check to see if you water is right.

this is not necessarily correct. The PM2 has 4 configurable ranges; two of those are used for saltwater. High range displays in mS and Salinity range displayed in PPT. Fusion will display values based on that range setting. Assuming the OP's PM2 is set for High, his reading of 51 is just a tad low, not extremely high.

If you Apex probe is reading 35 in Fusion there is something wrong FOR SURE.
