So I’m pretty disappointed with Apex right now. purchased an Apex Pro (AP2) with power bar and trident. Everything was fine until A month ago. I started getting connectivity issues on the apex itself. Set up a service call with the tech where he did a bunch of diagnostic tests. Turns out the controller needs to be replaced, and it’s less than three years old. The controller keeps power cycling, essentially rebooting itself every 2-5 minutes. When it does, it it shuts everything down. The tech said he hasn’t seen this happen very often but it has. But unfortunately they won’t fix it. Because they launched a new model (AP3). He instead, offered me a “deal” on a new AP3 for $300 USD +taxes and shipping. Im Canadian, so that’s over $500 CND door to door. A new one would come with a 1 year warranty “ protecting myself” on the purchase. What a racket. They won’t fix mine, under 3 years old, but will offer to sell me a new one. Talk about throwing good money at bad money. So if the new one breaks past the 1 year mark, I’m in the same boat…. Super irritating when you have a couple grand invested in a company that isn’t liable for their faulty unit.

Anyhow, that’s the story.
