Hey guys, I’m wondering if there’s any way to use either the icecap or eco tech dc battery backs up with an Apex controller. I’ve been looking into some options and I know you can use a UPS battery back up with an apex but the run times are really low. I’d like to be able to run my varios return pump off the icecap but I’d also like to still use it through my apex. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

Somewhat. I have a pair of Maxspect XF330 gyres on an Icecap battery backup that are connected to my Apex. When the power goes out they will run off the Icecap (though not for probably more than 8-12 hours). I wouldn't necessarily recommend the Icecap for a return pump as the wattage draw will probably be way too much. A separate UPS system would probably be better suited for that.
