Anyone try using Novus 3 above the waterline of a half-drained acrylic tank?

Title says it all. Anyone try using Novus 3 acrylic polish above the waterline of a half-drained acrylic reef tank to polish? Any harmful effects of the inhabitants?

I have a few minor scratches I'd like to try to remove.

Yes. With mixed results because I’m not a professional so I ended up needing to drain more than I thought to fare everything out.

That's the info I was looking for. I've used Novus for years with good results. Hit it first with Novus 3, then followup with Novus 2.
