I have a 120 gallon predrilled through the bottom, repurposed it to a sump. Used silicone to fill hole and adhered a piece of plexiglass over it. Holding fine for over a year. Hope that helps.

I was going to do glass probably you think plexi the best option

absolutely not. Use glass. Silicon does not bond to plexiglass the same way that it does to glass. Also, it has a tendency to swell ever so slightly when wet which further diminishes the bond w silicon.

This! Use glass and put it inside the tank over the holes…

Totally agree. In my case, it is just a sump. Looks don’t matter to me so I was able to use a good bit of silicone. Lol

So I have three holes which hold the drain and returns but I really wanted to get a over box which is practically outside the tank but I was wondering if there was a way to fill the hole?
Did this years ago and placed a square of glass with aquarium sealant on both top and bottom of hole
I got it from a glass shop and requested used glass which is cheaper
