Anyone in Fort Lauderdale want to trade their cool zoas for the frogspawn/hammers I bought without thinking?

Hello I bought some euphyllia (frogspawn and hammers) without realizing my new tank would probably not be a good home for them longterm. This is my first tank and I’m still learning I guess.

Hoping I can trade them for some easier to care for corals like zoas if possible. I think the tank will just be zoas, gsp, and clove polyps longterm. It’s too small to keep these big frogspawn.

I’m near Fort Lauderdale. Would love to trade these for some cool zoas like Illuminati/utter chaos/stratospheres/etc. if possible.

Thanks.

wait so, is the reason you don’t want to keep them because of how large they grow? Those are some very nice hammers you have and are a good LPS for beginners, it looks like they are all open… I have a 40G cube and a handful of hammers and torches, size won’t be an issue for those corals.

Relax lol. I have one hammer colony that went from 2 heads to 25. It’s still softball size and not huge and even that would fit fine in your tank (and look great)

Your stuff looks bright and healthy. Feed them 1-2x a week and your chances of success greatly increase

In addition to what WV Aquatics said, they will also gobble down copepods and plankton.

You can find them in the LFS frozen in cubes.

Some LFS have a mini fridge or a fridge (not freezer) with refrigerated copepods in a bottle. This is the hardest to find, but corals and fish go nuts for it.

Yeah the picture was from early morning, the two frogspawn can get VERY fluffy and extended. Random people have messaged me saying my tank is too young for euphyllia as well. I also want to eventually get an anemone after ~6-8 months. I’m trying to make this (my first tank) as low maintenance as possible and getting so many frogspawn and hammers right off the bat makes me believe they will consume a lot of calcium and other minerals that a small weekly water change may not be able to sustain.

don’t worry about the calcium consumption. My first corals were some GSP and 2 hammers, they’re very hardy in my experience. I think that despite what people are saying about your tank being too young, your corals will let you know if they are unhappy, if they’re extending even more then they’re probably just fine and I’d keep them. As for an anemone I think it would be smart to wait about 6 months as well.

You are fine, keep on your weekly water changes and you will be surprised. Keep it simple and don't believe everything you hear in the forums.
I dont see any fish in your tank but dissolved organics, fish poo is a great food your corals.
If your tank is stable and by doing weekly water changes will get ya there, I see no reason not too add an anemone.
If you can get natural sea water, whether from fish store or collect it yourself that will be better than any salt mix.
I am not going to offer you a trade. When those corals grow out, which they will, you can frag them and trade the frags.
Look around and see if you can find locals selling frags. Can get a way better deal than online vendors.
I have illuminati and utter chaos. When i cut some frags i will give you some. I am in Delray
