Anyone have Kessil 360x and reefi or radion over the same tank?

Have a 5’x2’x2’ reef tank. Currently have 2 Kessil 360 tuna blue lights. Was thinking about adding either a reefi uno or radion xr15 as a third light. Has anyone tried this? If so, how does it look?
Have you considered a Reef Flare Pro from Reef Factory? Light is super powerful with a great spread. See the pictures below ;)

You could use the "Pro" version of the light with more warm white diodes. This will give your corals much more PARs and good color blending with blue Kassil's.

Those look nice. Thank you. I’m thinking in order to keep SPS I’m going to need more than the 2 Kessils but I think I want a third light that has less shimmer. Leaning towards the reefi uno over the radions or AI’s.

I don't have personal experience with Reefi, but as for a light that uses 180W it isn't very efficient looking at PARs you get. You will end up with light that consumes a lot of energy. IMO doing a cost per Watt is not what we should be comparing in LED lights.

In case anything will happen to your light you have to send it on your cost to producer, I am pretty sure it's outside the US.

Contact me privately if you need some more feedback or join our Family group on FB, where people share the experience with lights ;)

Do you have a pic of your tank with the lights on around mid day? how much shimmer from the a360x do you loose with this setup? Finally, I would of thought on a tank with your size that the xr15’s would have been more appropriately sized….thoughts on the xr15 versus XR30?

Not at all familiar with the reef flare pro? have you recently moved to these lights? Or been using for years? I really love the AX360 kessil shimmer and want to incorporate that into a lighting solution

I have 4 Radions XR30’s. I just added a 360x with 35deg reflector to test it. Tank will be 81x24x25. It is noticeable but is largely drowned out by the Radions. It’s meaningful enough to give the reef “energy” so I will purchase another 2. I will probably augment my schedule a bit so the Kessil’s stay a bit brighter in the afternoons while the Radions ramp down to give me my shimmer for an hour or so. I’m also using the Kessil Reds at low power as night lights for a few hours. It’s dramatic and let’s you watch the crabs and shrimp and “graveyard shift” work.

Wow what a cool idea to use the red spectrum at night. Will have to try that on my Kessil’a

36x30x24 tank. Two XR30 with 1 A360x in the middle
Kessil is set more white while XR30s are set more blue. All of the white shimmer is from the kessil.

I have a 365G (8’L x 34”W x 26”H) mixed reef tank tank and this is exactly the awesome look I’m try to achieve. I already own three Kessil 500s and want to integrate them with either 4 Radion G6 XR30 or 4 Reefi uno 2.0 pros. You nailed the look I’m trying to achieve. We’ll done!

For a wider tank you will want to mount the XR30 transverse. Even with the increased spread of the gen6, I would still recommend the diffusers. The goal is to create a flat blanket of "blue" and the kessil will provide the white shimmer lines.
Also note that shimmer is strongly connected to the amount of surface agitation.
