Yes, there is numerous accounts on NR about people using them with success on smaller setups. Even a couple I googled and saw where they used 3 on a 20 long and grew SPS.

That’s what im finding too.
Only concern I would have is selecting a fixture that is capable of allowing the heat to dissipate properly, ie... can’t screw the bulb into anything that has a shade or housing around the bulb at all, to let the heat sink fins do their job of keeping the heat away from the screw in base of the bulb.

Keeping the heat dissipated would be key to safety and longevity of the bulb too.
