I know its a long shot but do we have a local reefer, with the requisite knowledge, who is willing to swing by and give me their advice on whether the location of my aquarium is ok? I have a basement to where I cannot get my tank. My only option is to have it on the main floor. My concern is whether this is too heavy for the floor joists. It is a Reefer 750 XXL (160 gallon.) Thanks in advance.

You can always reinforce the joists or even place a jackpost beneath the tank. But 160 gal should be fine if it's placed next to a load bearing wall and perpendicular to the joists.

I live in a single story ranch home. For several years I ran two 180 gallon tanks in my living room and one 150 gallon in the dining room at the same time. I just made a short beam to span 3 floor joists and put a pole jack under it. I did this in 2 locations just to be safe. 20220901_063030.jpg160 gallons doesn't weigh as much as a water bed and people used to sleep on those all the time with out reinforcements.
