Anybody want a 400w fixture?

I found this fixture back before I got the three 250w setup I'm using now. It's a 400w high pressure sodium light and fixture. It's an outdoor type of enclosure, similar to what you see in parking lot landscaping, directed up at buildings.

It's not something I would want to put in my living room, but if somebody has a setup in the basement or something that doesn't have to look good, it would be fine.

I'm not sure if the ballast would accept a metal halide bulb....but the good part is that I only have $30 in this thing, and that's all I want for it. I'm firm on that price though.

I do not want to ship this thing, so I posted it in this forum. Hopefully I won't get banned here for posting something for sale in this forum. Perhaps they don't have ***** that run this site like Reef Central does. :wink:

HPS and MH are different fixtures. They sell conversion bulbs for each, but they are more expensive, and I don't think they are available in the spectrum we need. They are useful for indoor grow lights, if you can tolerate the strong yellow cast of the light.

You won't get banned for trying to sell this, as it is reef related.

They have rules here, but they are much nicer about the enforcement -- as in you are given a reason and not treated like a TSA customer...
