Any risk with using Pool/Spa PVC fittings that I cannot get otherwise?

PROBLEM: Are using spa/pool fittings reef-safe? Building a custom low-ish profile loc line thingy on the end of my Closed Loop outputs into the tank. Using 3/4" loc line following an interesting pattern I saw that Than uses in his Tidal Garden tanks.

Want to get this loc line/standing profile as low profile as possible to make it easier to aquascape with rock covering them.
Tidal Garden's is the first image (Jul 14), and what I built is the 2nd/3rd images.

I'll have 2 of these bad boys, each one sitting on the return opening (3") fed by Abyzz A1200, in a 3" or so sandbed.

NOTE: Haven't rolled out yet a Build Thread; not ready to, but getting closer.
HINT: Peninsula, 300gal, Closed Loop, Display upstairs, Basement fish room.

The threat to our reefs from pool fittings that are constructed from PVC is not an issue. If the fittings have copper or metallic components they might be a problem but pvc is not.

I’ve used spa jets for my returns for years instead of locline as I hate the way it looks… zero issues as it’s pvc. The only thing I’ve heard but didn’t experience is like sewer drain lines leaching stuff and I don’t know if it’s true or not. They’re normally abs.
