I've had this waving hand anthelia colony for less than a year. Started from 5 polyps now it's roughly the size of a football. But this week I noticed polyps have been dropping from the main colony and floating around the tank. These polyps aren't dead they'll still reattach to rocks. But what could cause this? The only recent change has been me putting a kenya tree nearby it touches the anthelia. Everything else has been happy and thriving including my acros.

Params (haven't changed for a few months):
35ppt salinity
12.5 alk
8.0 pH
1550 mag
460 calcium
.4 phosphates
40 nitrates

Propagation?
Negative, all the dropped anthelias were dying until I corrected my iodine funny enough. It was running a little high and my anthelias (and xenias shortly after) did not appreciate that. But after a few wc's I experienced no more dropping.
