So, in the midst of starting up a little 15g nano, I aquired about 10-15lbs of live rock that came from someone getting out of the hobby. I currently have it in buckets with some circulation and a heater. There are a few soft corals on them so I have been using a cheap corallife light for about 8 hours a day. I will not be getting the tank set up until this coming weekend so with that, i think the rock will be fine. Once my tank is filled with new water, I will obviously use that rock. Will I still go through a full cycle? I see some mixed responses to this. What would you do? I expect a mini cycle of sorts with the brand new sand and AIO filter.

Live rock is instant cycle. Live=Cycled.
Always nice to add some bottled bacteria for diversity.
Even dry rock with bacteria is just a few days.
Enjoy
