I think it is one of the temperate/cool water non clownfish hosting anemone. I see a lot of them on the pacific northwest coast and in the Puget Sound. Possible Anthopleura elegantissima. I don't think we can ID these to the species level easy.
Where did you get this one?
It is not a temperate anemone, but one of the non hosting anemones. I guess I would recommend that you do a search on Queensland anemones and find out.
That is for sure. There are thousands of species of anemones and only a handful are clownfish hosting.Thanks, i will check it out. I knew it would be non hosting anemone. I do have a bta on my tank hosting pair of clownfish.
I will try to ID, it's pretty tricky to get the right ones specially when it's on intertidal zone as there are quite a few different species.
