I have 7 fish in my quarantine tank due to an ich attack. I have been doing water change ever 2 days but I notice that the ich is gone but my fish are barely swimming. I measured ammonia level and it is present in my tank between 0.25 and 0.5 . Do you have any advice to reduce the ammonia level? The QT is 20 gallon.

100% water change matching salinity, pH, and temp.

Do not use Prime or "ammonia binder" if you treated with copper, or plan to.

It causes the copper to become toxic (contraindication). They cannot be used together.

Get on that water change ;)

Get some macroalgae in there, it will consume ammonia. Also add some instant cycle bacteria. Maybe some sand from the tank.

Sand from the tank would be a bad idea if the OP is battling an ich outbreak. He would be reintroducing tomonts to his QT and undoing all of his hard work, along with risking his fish.

Thats a last resort imo, bottled bacteria and ammonia neutralizer is his best bet.
