Hi All!

I'm going through the quarantine protocol for the first time. I've cycled my tank and have dosed copper up to 2.5ppm today with copper power in a 10g. I have a seachem ammonia alert badge on the tank that had started to turn green. I also tested with my red sea and got a 0.2-0.4ppm ammonia reading. After doing some research I've seen others have the same issue with copper power and it's the amines in the copper power that are causing that reading. Do I need to worry about that reading? And when will it go away? I've also dosed prime/more beneficial bacteria just to be safe. Any input would really be appreciated. Thanks!

I've heard people use Fritz turbo start in copper medicated tanks with decent results. But continue to monitor the ammonia with the alert badge, and don't rely on Prime. If the alert badge gets to concerning colors, do water changes.
