I'm no expert but I noticed my filters was getting more dirtier than normal when I tried variety of foods for 4 weeks, I just assumed the more waste was from over feeding, so I reduced the amount of food, I also turn off all filters when adding live copepods, artemia.

I have small aquarium so I can adjust easily.

Depends on how stable your tank is. How are your nitrates and phosphates?

That magnificent i bet is a pig and will out grow that tank in mo time if you keep feeding like that I bet. I feed 2x a day maybe 3 but most of the time its snacks and one heavy feeding.

Nutrients are a little high but just implemented a refugium to help control it. Nitrate: 6 phosphate 0.13

100% agree. The Foxface is a pig, the reason I’ve been feeding so much is for the Anthias and zebra bar gobies, they are very active fish and need to be fed multiple times per day, but seem to always have flat stomachs.

Cant determine by a list but let your test kits answer this. If you have a sudden rise in nitrate and ammonia- may be a chance yes.
Feed what they can consume within two minutes. You can repeat if necessary but it is easier to add than to remove food. These fish will act hungry all day - Just limit too many

Is this 2 minutes per feeding or 2 minutes per day? They currently get 4 feedings throughout the day.

If you can sustain 6 ppm Nitrates and .13 PO4, I'd keep feeding as you are. Those are not high nutrients. If you start a fuge at those levels, I don't anticipate you'll see a lot of growth with the macro. If anything, you may be able to feed even more :) How long has the tank been running?

Tank has been going about 18 months. I’m trying to use red ogo in the sump so I can use it as food for the whitetail tang (last fish I plan to add) and Foxface. From what I’ve red red ogo is less helpful at reducing nutrients than chaeto, but also did that to try and not have the fuge overcompensate. Pics attached.

Those levels don’t look high to me. I would keep up with what your doing.

Your tank looks healthy. Don't mess with a regimen that is producing stable results. That's when you'll start running into problems. If you do start cranking on a fuge, make sure you don't allow the tank to zero out. Test often until you understand the affects.

That's how my dumb self ended up with an enormous coolia dino outbreak.
