I hope this is the correct Forum. I have a Red Sea 350 90 gallon system 70 gallon tank. Been set up since May 2021. I have battled cyano two or three times with ChemiClean and think I have finally over come it. I haven’t had a real problem with GHA, but seem to have it or something else in the sand bed. These pictures are from right after I vacuumed the sand bed and did a water change. What surprised me is that very little of the Algea in the sand was removed with the vacuum. There is GHA on the back and right side where it can’t be gotten with the magnet, but my Lawnmower Blenny and the two or three snails keep it to a covering with no length.
Any suggestions about how to clean up the appearance of the sand. No I’ll effects from it, but it just looks blah.
I did find some GHA or briopsis on the plateau rock that the BTA lives on. I haven’t noticed it as the BTA covers most of it when opened up. I know I’ll siphon and toothbrush this next water change, but it was already exposed when I saw it so too late to be able to suck it out.
Nitrates slowly creeping up from 7.8 on 10/21 to 16.6 on 11/6, phosphate is above my Hanna reader at .9
Only coral BTA and GSP.
If addition to CUC tank has
2 clowns
Blue spotted puffer
Cuban Hogfish
Exquisite Wrasse
Purple Tang
Large eyed squirrel
Lawn mower blenny
2-3 snails
Sally lightfoot crab.
Thanks
