Hiya, would anyone be able to say if this is the start of bad algae or perhaps coralline?
can’t blow it off with pipette…

This is surface algae and normal with tank cycling. If you dont like the sight of it, you can reduce white light intensity a little and add some snails such as Astrea, cerith, turbo grazer and nassarius which will feed on this. You may have brown film coming known as diatoms.

This is surface algae and normal with tank cycling. If you dont like the sight of it, you can reduce white light intensity a little and add some snails such as Astrea, cerith, turbo grazer and nassarius which will feed on this. You may have brown film coming known as diatoms.
Hoping I’m over the diatom phase, trailing off for sure but it’s been about 3 weeks. Was hoping this was the start of coralline as I seem to remember it’s starts off green. Tho that is a dim and distant memory
