Hey guys,
New to the forum and to salt water aquariums. I have a ~6 month old tank and I keep battling algae that does not seem to want to go away no matter what I do.
It looks like GHA, but I'm now wondering if it could be something else.
My nitrate is 10ppm and my phosphate is 0.05ppm, so I think those are okay, but I could be wrong.
I have a handful of corals and some fish already. My CUC consists of about 15 blue legged hermits, many dwarf cerith snails (maybe 20 or so?), 5 astrea snails, 7 trochus snails, a tuxedo urchin, and a pencil urchin. They seem to make a dent in everything during the night, but throughout the course of the day, it seems a lot of algae just builds up across the sand and rocks.
Would someone be willing to provide an ID of what kind of algae this is? Thank you!
