Team, needs an algae ID please and who eats it...emeralds and cleanup crew aren't interested. Tank parameters are healthy and things go slow. But I'd like to get a natural predator before this gets out of hand.

Sorry, it is green hair algae and this is some of the ones I can remember that eat it. Others will likely chime in also.
  • Margarita snails
  • Mexican Turbo snails
  • Trochus snails
  • Astrea snails
  • Nerite snails
  • Tangs
  • Sea Hares
  • Blennies
  • Copepods
  • Amphipods
  • Phytoplankton

Easy battle. Pull what you can by hand and add snails such as turbo grazer, astrea, cerith, nerite and a pencil urchin and a few Carribean blue leg hermits which are tiny

If you want to get rid of that stuff and never see it again get a algae scrubber and say bye bye to the GHA

Thanks everyone for the super-helpful responses. All looks healthy so sounds like I need to refresh my cleaner crew. Like the idea of an urchin. Any idea if they bother Zoas or any other concerns?
