Air stone in rear chamber of AIO, any benefit?

Currently i have put an air stone in my Biocube32 mixed reef as I am using a little chemi-clean for cyano.
This made me wonder if there is any benefit, pH maybe, to leaving it in the rear chamber all of the time?

It can certainly help with pH if you don’t have a big skimmer. It can’t hurt anything other than the salt creep if not covered.

Actually these used to use an air stone (wood, I believe). I was going to say you're half way there then. lol
