Hi everyone, I am new to the coral thing however, I had these little tentacles pop out under and behind my new coral. Every picture I have seen of aptasia the tentacles didn’t look like this. I inspected and dipped this coral, but idk what it is and it freaks me out lol. Thoughts?

This little thing? Looks like micro brittle star legs to me.

That’s what I was thinking. I didn’t think they would hitchhike though.
They can hitch hike. That is how most end up in newer tanks. Just a small gap between frag and plug is all they need.

Easy way to tell to take a pipete, but a small piece of food on theme and see if it reaches for it. If it does, then micro brittle star for sure.

I will try that. It is very sensitive. Anytime I get close to it it seem to retract

That is also a give away. Aips usually take touching them to retract. Micro stars will retract their legs without touching.
