I’m debating between the AI prime 16hd reef vs the Red Sea reef led50 for my biocube upgrade since I finally have enough corals that justifies a light upgrade. I’m almost sold on the AI Prime however I also have a friend who has a light use reef led50 for a lower price so that’s where I am conflicted!! Any thing helps thx!

I’d go with the Prime. I love mine and it’s so easy to set up and control. the app is great and the fan barely ever turns on and even when it does it’s the slightest hum

I have both, the Prime has more mounting options and IMO more customizable spectral choices but the build quality of the Red Sea is clearly more robust
…never had to replace a lens or power brick on the Red Sea.
….Ive replaced at least 3 lenses and 2 bricks outta 8 AI’s

How often are you replacing parts on the Prime would you say?
