I just setup a new Red Sea 250 g2, and I would like to turn the back right chamber into a refugium. I have a Ai Prime 16hd sitting around, and I’m sure this light will work fine, but what light settings should I use for cheato in fuge? And what percentages? I would think maybe UV, red, green on low setting at like 15% ?

Also I saw a video setting up a refugium where they used the small “marine pure” blocks and lined the bottom of the refugium with them. Any experience with that? Thanks

I use those blocks and rubble rocks as well. Don’t know the spectrum of the light, but I bought a Kessil on one system and a GRO on the other. You will definitely appreciate the copepods thriving.

I went ahead with the AlgaeBarn Refugio starter kit. The marine pure bricks actually fit exactly perfect in the section I’m using for refugium, so that was cool. I went with chaeto for now.

Also going with these light settings for now. I got recommendation on this setup, and have it pretty low intensity because light is like 2” of water line. But I’m open to any suggestions. Planning to just see how cheato responds and adjust accordingly.
