i have a 65g tank running on canister filter (oase bio master) haven’t had nitrate issues or anything crazy but heard this salt had probiotics of sorts or something that reduces nitrate?
anybody have experience with this salt?
i usually use natural SW or just reef crystals to make my own
been looking to switch up salts and see what difference others make
mixed reef leaning heavily on LPS

thanks!

I have never used it, but it likely has organic carbon in it like some other brands. If you want to use organic carbon, then just do it on it's own and don't involve the salt.

You will need a good protein skimmer to best take advantage of organic carbon.

Dr. Holmes-Farley has a lot of good articles on Vodka, Vinegar and Sugar dosing. These should be easy to find. No need in buying a reef product for more money, but they are out there.
