I currently have some TBS live rock and after putting the rock in my sump I noticed what I believe to Crioland isopods..... I sucked up about 20 of them last night and was wondering since I don't have any fish in my tank if it would be a good idea to dip the rock in hyper salinity to try and knock them off of the rock? ive read many articles of people hunting them at night and Id rather not do that... I could dip the rocks and put them in the QT tank im just worried they will hid in the sand and etc in the display. Any tips or just words of encouragement are greatly appreciated....

what is on the rock right now?
I am asking because depending on the life forms present I have “de-pest” Gulf rock just by placing it in a bare bottom tank and then lifting the rock only to find gorilla crabs, fireworms, et et

Also placing the rock inches above the water on egg crate works to a point… Again depending on the exposed macro life, leaving the rock out of water is partially effective…

I have had what appeared to be semi- dry half dead live rock spring back pretty fast…drying out is lethal to many aquatic pest LOL … I wonder how long those isopods can live exposed to air?

CO2 would also be great if there was a method of application

I have bunch of crabs and some small star fish I ordered the base rock so not many organics. I hade the rock in a bare bottom qt tank and didn't see anything really to be concerned about because it's going in the sump. But now im freaking out the rock is broken up in smaller chunks or rubble and can easily be dipped in something if need also no live stock in the tank so I can also turn off the heaters and the let the tank sit at room temp if that will help.
