Hey r2r SPS community,

This acro originally came encrusted on a piece of rock without any axial corallites, so until the axial corallites started forming I had no idea it was even an acro. Now it's started shooting new branches up and I was wondering if anyone can help me ID this acropora sp. Thanks!

Post a close pic of those new growth branches with the polyps retracted
Seems like the corallites are different from anthoceris. Also does anthoceris get this fuzzy?

Yes a happy anthocercis can have decent PE. However, not sure that what you have there is anthocercis.
