Anyone have some nice acropora Mariposa Colonies grown out? I'm absolutely loving mine.

I guess it is Gemmifera or Monticulosa. I have it lower in my tank, but still good par and flow (I don't have my par mapped out yet). I definitely see new growth and the polyps are extending more weekly.

This thing is probably the fastest growing coral in my tank and that is saying something. I have a green slimer and montipora (though my ADS Rainbow is what's exploding right now). I'll have to get a picture of it in better lighting tomorrow. I thought it would be slow growing being at the bottom of my tank and having thick branches.

Edit: fastest growing THING in my tank (especially since I killed my chaeto, hahaha)

Never heard of acropora mariposa but that looks like a good start to a humilus or monticulosa. Certainly IS a coral to get excited about for sure! Love it, and would love other pictures if they have a similar nubby coral growing.

It is a monticulosa. I mistyped the name and can't edit it now, hahaha.

Hahah gotta love spell check. Awesome acro so I personally wouldn’t be mad if you wanted to call it a mariposa :)
I love this thing. Look at the growth between the first pic and this. It's insane and I might need to "name" it Mariposa (jk, lol). I love the polyps on the end.
