I ordered some frags a couple of weeks ago and upon arrival after they had been acclimatised and placed in the tank ,I immediately noticed 1 out of the 4 had next to no pe.
The smooth skinned one of course lol so I had a good old look at it and it appeared to have tiny little white dots on it, they are not the most mobile bugs but once in a while one will move around, definite white bugs :(
I tried a Kcl dip and they were unphased, but upon speaking to a fellow r2r reefer I heard that Bayer dip will work.
I am unable to purchase bayer in the uk(well one person on eBay has the original for silly money) but upon looking at its active ingredients I have managed to find a flea medicine which contains Imidacloprid one of the active ingredients in the original bayer so I have ordered some and am eagerly awaiting its arrival for a dip
I will update when it arrives and I have dipped, I’m hoping for positive things lol
Upon some dodgy looking late night math it appears my dip maybe at 2.5 times the strength of Imidacloprid in a bayer dip

Ok my flea medicine arrived today, 3x4ml with each one(4ml)containing 400mg of Imidacloprid.
I made up 500ml of fresh salt water and split it into two seperate containers one with 350ml salt and the other with 150ml I added one 4ml flea treatment to the 350ml and instantly knew this stuff wasn’t going to be as soluble as I had first thought lol it was like oil(makes sense)
So I decided to use the coral as a whisk and did this for ten minutes straight.
Now the coral looks ***** annoyed right now but I’m adamant there aren’t any bugs on it at least that I can see at the moment lol
Attached are a few photos after dip and one of the container(the whisking seemed to mix it up well in the end)
Not the best photos and I’m going to try and collect all that is in the container and examine it under a microscope

One more btw and that would be this is a very harsh dip and was completely experimental on my part please do not do this I will be letting the solution sit in a glass jar in the sun for a month before disposing of it in a safe way at work.

I just finished the development of a medicine for treating bugs and its in clear liquid form without all the fillers. Each ml of it is equivalent to a 23mg interceptor pill. I am sending out samples for the first 5 people who message me. All you need to do is try it out and report back on the effectiveness of the medicine. Thanks.

It will kill all the Crustaceans vin your system within the first 6 hours. It doesn't kill anything else. That's how it works. Just turn off UV, Ozone, carbon and GFO during the treatment and let te skimmer overflow into the sump. Switch everything back on after the treatment. As simple as that. I have many people already try this and had great success with white, red and black bugs on acros and torches. Black bugs were killed in 4.5 hours. I will ask them to post feed back. thanks.

I tried this treatment @akaimal came up with and it WORKS! I had black bugs on torches of mine and they would live in the torch during the day and crawl all over its flesh at night. I tried various dips and potassium chloride killed some but they would hide in the torch and come right back. I tried the first treatment of this stuff at 1.5 ml (30 drops) for my 150 gallon system. Added the treatment at night, removed skimmer cup and carbon. I took a video that night of black bugs all over my one torch. Next morning at 6 am, so about 10 hours later, looked at that same torch before lights were on and every black bug was gone. The torch was wide open and happier that it’s ever been with lights off. After 1 week of observing the tank thereafter, I saw no signs of the bugs and I can say all my torches looked much, much happier and less irritated. I did 150% dose the following week, so 45 drops, 2.25 ml and everything again did great. I left one blue leg hermit in the system as a tester and it survived the normal dose but died at 150%. I had a lot of mysis shrimp in my sink, they all disappeared and likely died. It’s all worth it though. I think I have enough for one more treatment so I’ll do that at 100% and then observe for the next few weeks and months if they come back but I don’t expect it
