Purchased clean up crew online and accidentally got a red hairy hermit (dardanus megistos). I know this is a bad mistake but i’m unsure on what to do. I don’t want to put it in my tank incase it eats my scarlet hermits and snails so I’ll have to put him in my sump. Please any advice would do great!

Sounds like you know what to do. I’m sure someone will remind you about the Emergency thread use. But I have done that too.

I have a hermit in my sump, large blue leg and not nice to my snails. (killer)
I don't feed him. He grazes on algae and food that goes over the overflow.
got some pictures of him in my sump, sadly don’t have a refugium so fed him some mysis

Yeah, feed it some meaty foods and if it doesn't have enough algae available to graze on, I'd supplement it with some sort of algal feed too (like nori, fresh macroalgae, or something like NLS Marine Fish pellets).

That's reportedly brine shrimp and spirulina, so it'd be a good food to offer alongside the mysis - I'd probably add the nori or NLS pellets personally, but they probably wouldn't really be necessary.

it’s a spinach, peas and carrot mix, i also have the brine + spirulina pack, copepod + garlic and mysis
