I have been using baking powder to raise my alkalinity. My wife bought some baking soda of the same brand and container since the last time I used it and I guess I wasn’t paying attention and added the wrong thing.

I did notice the solution was cloudy and stopped after about half the dose but just curious how big of a problem this is.

I would say I added around a teaspoon in a 55 gallon system.

DO you mean the other way around?

Baking soda is a good way to boost alk.

Baking powder has a variety of chemical compositions, but it not a good way to boost alkalinity.

I was adding 1.5 teaspoons total and I probably only added less 25% of the solution before I stopped so less than a half teaspoon total added probably closer to .25 teaspoons

I don't see any info on that brand online, but from the ingredients you mention, the main concern, IMO, is likely the aluminum. If corals seem OK and are not closed up, I'd just ignore it and move on. It takes a fair amount of aluminum to cause issues (around 0.5 ppm, IME). Phosphate will be boosted a bit, but that's not a big deal.
