Acanthastrea Pachysepta next to other Acans?

Hello everyone, does anybody have any experience of putting Acanthastrea Pachysepta next to other Acan varietys?

dont do it. these things are killers, and so are echinatas and rotundafloras..... all i forsee is a bloodbath for all involved

From what I know, usually, corals of the same genus can be placed together. I would wager that A. pachysepta can be placed with TRUE Acanthastrea (echinata, subechinata, hemprichii, brevis, rotundoflora; these are all grouped together as echinata by the hobby), but not with lords and bowerbankis, as those are Micromussa and Homophyllia, respectively. I would be careful with "echinatas" from Australia, though, as they might actually be bowerbankis.

Keep them away, at least a few inches.
They pack a punch.
It beat up my chalice,more than once.
