I went to my favorite LFS today and walked into chaos , they were completely dismantling and moving their store to another city. I was gutted, i have Spent a lot of money at their store, the boss took me into the back and he had one tank left with some corals that he didnt want to transport. He told me i could have any three for free for my frequent Custom. I picked a torch, a bubble coral, and a monster sized coral that the colors just grabbed me. But I thought it was a Favia...now Im thinking is it an Acan? when i Handled it it was not fleshy, very stony, but that could be stress. Can anyone identify it from this picture? Thank you

Could be a bowerbanki. Lovely colors!
I didnt even know what that meant, had to research. If so, it is essentialy still just a big Acan? i know it was reclassified but i mean in terms of care. I live in China and my chinese is not great, on top of that , all the chinese names for corals are different than the english names

Here is a great video from tidal gardens on bowerbanki. They seem to be more closely related to scolys than they are to acans. Similar care as far as I understand. They also have more powerful a sting than acans so make sure that it doesn’t touch your other acans, I learned that the hard way a few months ago.
Bowerbanki
