This soon to be (I assume) young lady is a perfect tankmate. Never bothers anyone, although she can be a bit bossy towards her young boyfriend. She could care less about the BTA in the tank, but seems to like the MP-10.

She is, however, an absolute menace to my hand. As soon I put it near the water it's on - she practically jumps out to attack it. When I get close to the tank I used to think, oh how nice she wants food. No, she wants to kick my butt.

Anyone have any pro tips for convincing her to relax? Maybe I should fight back...

No tips...you have a butt-head of a clownfish. I had one as well...she eventually went blind or something, possibly a stroke, and then she died. I don't miss her a bit. Now, I just keep the one male clownfish and the tank it much happier.

I had a clown just like this.... I took both her and her boyfriend to the LFS because I was sick of not being able to do tank maintenance without being abused by a little fish. Best decision I ever made.

Honestly it's a good sign. That's a healthy clown full of vitality!

There is no hiding, you must endure the punishment.
I agree with this. All my clowns I had did it they are all jerks. Get used to it or you are going to be in real pain luckily mh are not as available now as they were. I can show you some pretty nasty scars caused "by clowns". I can talk about some mental scars caused by other clowns also. Clowns in my opinion are not to be trusted or kept as pets. Either kind.....

I've always used a turkey baster to feed my fish. Clowns attack that and not me, haha.
It's WW3 when I go in with the turkey baster to feed corals but she still goes straight to the fingers. I even put mysis in the baster sometimes, she could care less - it's clobbering time.

Out of 3 pairs of clownfish, in separate tanks, only 1 of them (Mocha) attack my husbands hands, could be due to breeding! I love the female white clown (Wyoming Snow Storm) she follows me around the tank lol

I have a female that goes after my hand, but only after she has laid eggs. When she attacks, I know there are eggs in the tank.

There's a member here that told a story of her clown coming after her from the other side of the tank. When she pulled her hand out the fish followed, jumping out and onto the floor. I seriously laughed out loud when I read that. There is no hope for you!!!!
