I searched but didn’t find any others with this issue. I must be lucky. When using the factory reagents in my trident, I would always get the replace reagent warning well before the reagent actually ran out. Over the last seven months or so I’ve been using abc reagents. Out of nowhere my test results will get wonky. When trying to figure out why the results are way off, I’ll find the reagent has completely run out. Every single reagent bottle runs dry before the trident thinks they should be. I sent a message to abc to see what they say, but I was curious to know if anyone else is running into this? So far, I think it’s just my luck. I don’t think the reagents leaked during shipping. Even if they did, I can’t imagine every single bottle would have leaked roughly the same amount. It’s definitely a volume thing as I would top off the factory reagents and after about four maybe five refills I’d end up with an extra bottle on hand (when figuring one bottle equals one month). With abc, this doesn’t happen as there is no extra reagent left.

Saw the same thing recently as my first couple sets of ABC the Trident alerted me that the reagent was out before running out of reagent. The last couple sets I've had though have run out before the Trident alerts. Wonder if my last couple batches weren't filled completely.

How the h3ll would the Trident know the difference?

Just guessing but doesn't it just have some preset volume programmed in?

Odd…
Yeah it’s known volume in the trident. When you reset the reagent it fills but it’s not something the end user can change afaik

I got a response from abc, and they said that it’s quite possible that the oem reagents had more volume. Then reiterated that Neptune tells you to toss the little bit left over (which I never did). So it ends up being the same. They recommend topping off before you run out…but I’m dumb and am used to something telling me to, or opening a second bottle and overfill when refilling so that you end up getting the notification before you run out. I think we’re only talking one or two tests here so it’s probably less than twenty ml total (guessing) needed.
