When I was in Germany last month I was surprised that most people assumed we are a typical company, sure, headquartered in Germany but we just have everything made in China like everyone else. Well, that is the farthest from the case, our products are designed and produced in our factory in Penzberg Germany, I would say we are likely the most vertically integrated company in the aquarium industry as almost all steps are in house and most that aren't are done within a short driving distance of our factory. Additionally, there are several misconceptions on the Osmolator 3 that I wanted to address, primarily that it lacks a safety sensor or that it is in someway a radical change from the tried and true Osmolator. It does indeed have a safety and it is identical in the primary functions and safety system to its predecessor, all that was really changed is less wires, waterproof and a vastly improved pump.

First to share is this factory tour video from Fragbox Corals in Canada, I was apparently at the Interzoo booth in Nuremburg when this was made-

Next is a video on production of the Osmolator 3, this one is in German-

I will update this thread when we finish editing my video for our Tunze Tech Tips YouTube channel on Osmolator 3 troubleshooting.

Finally have my video live.

Additionally, Scott at Aquarium Specialty made a blog post about the Osmo 3 based on an interview I did with him

Thanks Roger. I’m always amazed Tunze does not get more market share. Extremely reliable GERMAN products at competitive pricing. I’ve never had a Tunze product fail on me. I still have a box of the first 6025 nanostreams and 1073 return pump I break out whenever I set up a temporary tank etc. These are probably 15 years old!

I think the cloud edition pumps will be a massive step once released! (Crossing my fingers I can program them to do alternating gyre at user defined intervals)

From the beta testing I did on the cloud control system this is absolutely possible, you can set every pump pretty much minute by minute and you can set various triggers to change the pattern like time or for example temperature (shut off pumps to prevent a heat increase beyond a set point) or pH (turn on additional pumps when pH drops below a certain point).

Thank you!
