80 Gallon reef restart

I have never done a build thread before. So I apologize if i'm missing anything I have been reefing for about 8 years. started over to RC. Now I have found all of you and knew I had to make the switch to R2R. I have learned a lot from the forums and figured it was time to start giving back. I have had this tank for a few years now. It made the last move with me but had a bad bubble algae outbreak. figured it was time to break down and restart. This gave me the chance to create a separate filtration area. This has turned into the best thing ever not crawling into the stand to do maintenance. My plan is to start some grow out and repopulating. I plan on moving to one of the New Red Sea Peninsula 650. and move my Filtration to a Basement Fish Room. I also just set up a Red Sea Reefer Nano. I may end up doing a build thread for that tank as well. If you have any question please feel free to ask. Ill try to keep this forum up to date with pictures. Because everyone likes pictures.

i feel like maybe you need a bigger ATO, the nano might be a bit small with not enough fail safe built into it. maybe get the tunze 3155

Thanks for the post. Yea I agree. My plan is to replace it with the Neptune ATK as soon as it is released. As far as the Nano. It has been doing awesome. It actually uses the same pump as the 3155. I just don't like the lack of a backup sensor. I have added my own float switches to the Apex for an emergency back up. The nano will allow the pump to run for 3 minutes about 0.85 gallons.
