Howdy! Hopefully this isn’t too boring, but figured I’d share my current build and progress. This is my first tank since I was a kid, so any and all advice, criticism or thoughts are more than welcome!

Purchased a used Red Sea 350 (73gal display and 18gal sump), 2 AI Hydras, and a Regal Octopus 150 skimmer. Added Neptune Apex, ATO and Dos. Plan on upgrading the ATO from 5-10G in the near future.

Also have a small area in the sump dedicated to a refugium under a Kessil H80. Would love to hear the community’s thoughts as to when I should get that going, but currently week three into having fish following a five week long fishless cycle with Dr Tim’s and another bottle bac. Nitrates are nearly nonexistent (0-.1) and phosphates are 0.0. PH runs between 7.7 and 7.9 and Alkalinity is 10.5. All water is from a new RO unit and using Tropic Marin Salt.

Currently have two clowns, one Royal Gramma, and one Midas Blenny (added today) with a small cleanup crew (5 trochus and one fighting conch). Also added a few softies and LPS to get things rolling earlier today as well but need to work more on placement.

Candidly, still battling some diatoms, but I’m assuming that will pass soon?
