Hi Guys,

I hope everyone's safe and doing well.

I'm thinking of converting my 75 Gallon freshwater inbuilt sump fish tank to a fish only or FOWLR - Marine tank. I will need your expertise on below.

1. Can I run this tank without a skimmer as I'm tight on budget?
2. The tank has the inbuilt sump system with 3 chambers (please see below pictures).
3. I'm planning to have a couple of clowns and 2 tangs.
4. What's the best light that I could use for this tank?

Please note since I'm out of budget I would like to keep the cost at minimal (i.e. may be up to about USD 50). Please let me know your thoughts and ideas. Thanks guys!!

as you may see the inbuilt sump system is clearly shown in the pic (bottom 3 holes to intake the water from the tank and then to the 2nd chamber and 3rd chamber is where the powerhead is in).

If it’s going to be FOWLR, the lighting is just to suit your personal taste in viewing your fish; white for day and some blue for evening is what most people probably like. Save your money for a skimmer down the road. Looks like a fun tank. Best wishes.
