75 gallon aquascape feedback

Hey guys, I am looking for some feedback and advice for my aquascape set up. I am new to the reef community and this is going to be my first ever saltwater tank. I want to make sure that I have space for the fish to swim and to have coral grow. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Is there a lot of hidey holes for fish? also the scape is a bit straight, which would limit you to placing coral on the top and small ledges. if you don't want to cover your tank with coral and only have just a few (maybe 15-20) then you should be good!

I agree with the above. There is not enough variation in dimensions to create multiple caves and hiding areas for fish at night.

Sometimes less is more. This is a 75 gal. Never mind the sump. This was when I first put the tank together.

I like it, I think it would maybe look better if you separated into two so there was a gap in the middle.

Really? I guess depending on how many fish and their sizes but there does seem to be a lot of hiding places just from looking at it, and fish find a ton more that we can’t see.

I see a few but mainly it's solid rocks stacked on top of each other with minimal defined caves. Yes the rocks have small indentations in them creating small holes but most fish don't dive head first into these. Certain types of small fish do though. I wish I had a early picture of mine which is similar size to the OP but you can see the various caves if you look close with arched rocks on the sandbed and big arch in the middle. He used mainly solid rocks and should incorporate some arched rocks into the scape in my opinion. I probably have 15 to 20 defined caves in my scape in addition to all the little Rock indentation holes.

Hey OP as long as you are at your beginning build point get yourself a few pieces or real live wet ocean rock and Jumpstart your tank biome with biodiversity and microfauna. You will be well ahead in the game instead of just using dead rock.

Very much agree! I've gone both ways and by far easier with some live rock. Mine came in water, not just wet.

I tried to take some close ups of my caves made with arched rocks. I have 12 fish and they all have a cave spot at night for complete hiding they can't be seen for the most part. I see a few caves on the left side of your scape but the right side is void from what I can view.
