***Update***

It was 3 grains of aquarium salt that have since dissolved.

Hello Reefers!

I have a 20 gallon Red Sea Max Nano G2 that is 6-days-old.
RODI Water with Reef Salt by Aquaforest - Salinity is around 1.023
Sand - CaribSea Special Grade
CaribSea Life Rock
I'm cycling with Dr. Tims.

PH - 8
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 0
Ammonia - 2.0
Avg Temp 76.8

Lights have remained off.

Today I noticed 3 white bubble looking things on my rock. What are they? Should I be concerned? If so, what should I do?

Thanks!

Just checking in and making sure you're not mixing the salt in the tank?

My initial RODI and salt mix was completed outside of the tank. I realized it was a little low and poured some salt in the tank. - Mistake?

Would never do this with coral, fish, or invertebrates in the tank - just trying to get through this cycle.

If you have a sump adding salt there is safer if the return pump doesn’t pick it up and blow it all over the tank.

Salt grains are no good for coral. Salt creep that can accumulate from water splashing can injure coral and anemone.

Something to avoid.

Okay yeah. Just don't get in the habit of doing it and everything will be great
