I think in my opinion it I would be tight. McCoskers are very active swimmers and notorious jumpers. If you tank is a cube, then definitely no. They need length to swim.

I had one in my 75 pg (4ft long) for a couple of years. I had a full glass canopy and it regularly jumped hard enough to hit the glass lid loudly, then would swim kinda dazed for a bit. I had to pick it up off the floor several times when I was cleaning the tank or even just opened the lid to drop in food. It eventually found its way through the small gap in the lid around a pipe.

Would more swimming room have made it jump less. I don’t know. They are beautiful fish, but I have never gotten another because I don’t think it was happy in a tank and kept trying to get out.
