It's like the 4th batch they have laid (yes I've been counting). I always notice that in the past few batches the eggs weren't orange or dark red like most clownfish eggs are. The parents are getting the hang of spawning. I assume theyr'e viable since eyes and blood vessels form so why aren't they orange when they first lay? It's currently day 2 since they laid them on the 29th. I have no hopes for these guys honestly because I make far too many mistakes. For example the last batch I accidentally exposed them to air so they all died and the batch before that I forgot hermit crabs were still in the rocks so they ate ALL of the eggs. I seriously am unsure how to transport them without exposing them to the air, I'm thinking of putting them in a pot inside the tank and wait until they hatch before moving them to the rearing tank

Could you get a picture of both the clownfish and eggs?

Try to get the clowns to host a small terracotta pot. To remove it from the water either block the drainage hole on the bottom so water stays in the pot, or take a bowl underwater and add the pot.

I'll try but I'm very busy so no guarantee that it will happen! :(

If the eggs are pale that may be an indication of problems with the food you are feeding to the parents. What all are you feeding to the pair?

It's some sort of brand called SA "Hatchery Diet" my LFS recommended these to me when I first got them and they have been eating those ever since will get you a picture of it once I'm out of class.

I fed a mix of mysis and TDO pellets to my clowns and was able to get viable eggs.

Here is a link to how I raised the fry. Hopefully it can help you out!

I'll try pellets in the future but they hate mysis and usually the eggs get silver eyes by day 7 or 8

Question, I don't really want to get a tank immediately because I have no clue if they will make it or not so would putting a vase in the main tank and putting the eggs inside that vase work until they hatch? Also, can I try frozen rotifers my LFS sells? It takes them six to ship the kit and all, my room is pretty low traffic and super dark when I shut off all the lights so I hope they'll be fine. The eggs are currently darkening and I see eyes not silvery *yet*.

Fish larvae require a dedicated setup, and would not survive in a vase. They need aeration and very clean water that an environment like that cannot provide.

Yeah, I would try some different frozen foods. May have to start with brine, then maybe try some squid or LRS.

Frozen rotifers will probably not work for raising fry.
