I am currently embarking on a build for my new cube aquarium which is a 240 gallon cube with the dimensions 48" x 48" x 25" I have had experience building stands for rectangular tanks. I have a general understandings of the basics just what would be the best design?

@deansreef second picture didn't work. Could you try and place another one up? These are immensely helpful since I'm going to be building it soon. Did you use 2x4" and did you glue the pieces together and then uses screws or just used screws? And what height did you build it to?

i did not use any glue- just wood screws... used 2x4 and 2x6's ..do a search on google for reef tank stand builds - i got a plan somewhere off their.

How's it going? Did you make a decision on the stand? How did you do it?

I've decided to go with wood. I used 2x4's and 2x6's along with some 2x8's. I'm working on skinning it this weekend and my neoprene foam has been ordered I think I should have it moved and started cycling in the next week. Sorry they came out sideways on the app. Second picture is prior to first picture.

I'll have to get a picture up - but it has been set up for a few months and the stand is holding well. I used styrofoam under the tank and nothing has catastrophically failed yet so, I'm counting it a success.

Sure - just ignore the diatoms / sand and the mismatched sea-swirl nozzle.
